I want introverts to know that we can stay at home having deep conversations. BUT I am capable of discipline and study when I am truly invested in something. Sorry not sorry! I can probably find common ground with almost anyone of any type, if you promise to meet me at least a quarter of the way. I need you to shut up and let me vent! And I think about that a lot.
This can of course be difficult for their prospective partners, who may feel confused about who the ENFP really is. In some cases, such confusion is justified, since the ENFP may herself be experiencing ambivalence with respect to her identity.
We should be careful, however, not to prematurely fault or criticize young ENFPs for such discrepancies. After all, as extraverted Perceivers, their primary mode of operation is one of adaptation. Moreover, developing a firm identity, especially early in life, should, at least in theory, be of greater concern for IP types, whose dominant function is one of inner Judging Fi or Ti.
Concerns about finding a suitable career or relationship can also tend to push the identity issue for ENFPs, which may unfortunately hinder their natural course of type development. Ideally, ENFPs would exercise patience in young adulthood, allowing their Fi values to emerge over time.
Enfps and dating
With exposure to different cultures and ideas, they can gradually use and develop their Fi, clarifying their identity and preferred course in life. The last thing relationship-minded ENFPs need is to enter into marriage prematurely.
Oct 30, ENFPs are the passionate, outgoing idea-generators of the MBTI. (For example, if I meet someone new, I may very well muse over the possibilities and fantasies of pursuing them, and dating them) and I'll get super stoked about these possibilities and fantasies. It doesn't mean I ever actually expect them to become reality, but I will be. Jun 30, ENFPs are often seen as romantic and flirtatious people, but there is a lot more to what they expect and give in relationships. ENFPs has important inner morals and values and these are often tied to what they need and want from a relationship. ENFPs can be complex and curious people who enjoy exploring different things in a relationship.
Unfortunately, as is true of other types, ENFPs are prone to taking apparent short-cuts to wholeness by granting their inferior function control over their decision-making. So instead of patiently abiding in their Ne-Fi process, they allow their Si to take precedence, deferring to what is comfortable, familiar, or easy. Unfortunately, they may later come to regret their failure to grant themselves more time to fully flesh out their Ne-Fi values and interests prior to making such huge commitments.
ENFPs are notorious for their broad interests and dilettantish ways. They are among the most creative personality types, displaying a love for the arts, music, and culture.
While also enjoying intellectual or theoretical discussions, this is typically of lesser concern that it is for their ENTP counterparts. Perhaps more than anything, ENFPs hate being bored or stifled.
This compels them to seek partners who are interesting, curious about the world, and open to new ideas and experiences. They want a mate with similar values who is willing to accompany them wherever life leads. Compatible perspectives on family, children, politics, religion, etc.
Cracking the Code to Dating an ENFP!?!
And while ENFPs may experience satisfying relationships with SJs later in life, following years of growth and development, pairing with SJs in their younger years often proves unsatisfying, once the initial infatuation has worn off. For instance, both types may enjoy travelling and a diversity of entertainment. They love to discuss their perspectives and ideas.
SPs especially ESPsby contrast, tend to be more interested in actions, sensations, and appearances Se than they are in exploring the ideas, motives, or meanings behind them.
This can be a source of frustration for both types, with the ENFP yearning for more meaningful conversation and the SP seeking more physical action or sensory stimulation.
Both enjoy discussing ideas and potential ways of improving the world. When their partner shares their love of all things Ne, there is rarely a shortage of things to discuss. I need my alone time, too.
Sometimes I have to try out different things careers, goals, people before I can find a good match and even then I find myself pondering greener pastures. Drives us all crazy. And yes I do really love you already as much as I act like I do.
I love everyone. We lead with extroverted intuition so we might be a little more in our head and we may be a little overdramatic and passionate at times but we sincerely enjoy learning and growing too!
At the end of the day, you have two choices in love - one is to accept someone just as they are and the other is to walk away.
ENFPs are social butterflies, floating from person to person, and constantly forming new emotional connections. Despite this social suitability, this type's compatibility with other individuals, especially when it comes to long-term relationships or dating, isn't well understood. Let's dive into this type's romantic attractions, what they look for, and which potential partners are most likely to have . Campaigners constantly explore new ideas and improvements, fantasize about future possibilities - in dating, this tendency to look at potential rather than the present can be self-defeating, and their spontaneity makes it harder to stay focused on their end goal of a long-term relationship. Dating an ENFP is like cooking with a deep fryer-hot, quick, and delicious. But dating another type (I usually notice I tend to date INTJs and ENFJs) provides a better chance for a slow cooker relationship.
